AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series Revealed

According to a recent report from wccftech, AMD's upcoming Ryzen AI 400 "Gorgon Point" platform has been confirmed through entries found in the latest chipset driver package.

The Ryzen AI 400 lineup is described as an enhanced evolution of the current Ryzen AI 300 "Strix Point" generation. While both families share the same Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics architecture, and XDNA 2 NPU design, the new series introduces upgraded specifications across multiple SKUs. These improvements include higher core counts on select models, increased clock speeds, and stronger integrated graphics. The NPU also receives a modest boost, with several SKUs expected to deliver up to 55 TOPS, compared with the single top-end configuration in the Ryzen AI 300 family that currently reaches this level.

Confirmation of the product family appeared in AMD's unreleased chipset software driver v7.10.02.711, discovered by X user @BuildLabEx.AMD. The publicly available driver, version v7.06.02.123, does not list Ryzen AI 400 processors yet, but support is expected to be included once the updated driver becomes official, especially as next-generation notebooks move closer to launch.

According to industry expectations, AMD is preparing to debut the Ryzen AI 400 "Gorgon Point" series at CES 2026, positioning it as the company's next major step forward in AI-accelerated mobile computing.
