TSMC Q4 2025 Revenue $33.7B, Profit Over 35%

On January 15, TSMC released its financial results for Q4 2025, reporting consolidated revenue of approximately NT$1.46 trillion, net profit after tax of NT$505.74 billion, and earnings per share of NT$19.5.

Compared with Q4 2024, revenue rose 20.5%, while net profit and EPS both grew by 35%. Sequentially, revenue increased 5.7% and net profit climbed 11.8%. In U.S. dollar terms, Q4 revenue reached US$33.73 billion, up 25.5% year-over-year and 1.9% quarter-over-quarter.

TSMC's gross margin for the quarter was 62.3%, operating margin 54%, and net profit margin 48.3%. By technology node, 3nm wafer shipments accounted for 28% of wafer sales, 5nm for 35%, and 7nm for 14%, meaning advanced nodes (7nm and beyond) contributed 77% of total wafer revenue.

On capacity planning, TSMC is accelerating investment to meet growing customer demand. CEO C.C. Wei highlighted efforts to advance wafer fab construction schedules, improve productivity, and optimize node-specific output. N5 (5nm) capacity may be converted to support N3 (3nm) production where needed.

In the U.S., TSMC is ramping up its Arizona fab expansion. The first plant reached high-volume production in Q4 2024, while the second plant's construction is complete, with equipment installation planned for 2026 and full production expected in late 2027. The third plant is under construction, and TSMC is seeking permits for a fourth fab and its first advanced packaging facility to further strengthen production capabilities.
