If you happen to have an old or unused Makita-to-Dayi adapter board, you can follow this guide to turn it into a Makita-style T12. That way, you can use it for soldering outside or whenever there's no access to mains power.
First, you need to disassemble the adapter board, like in the picture below:


If the original board does not have enough space for a potentiometer, you can use a small separate box instead, like this one:

Next, you'll need to make holes in the box, install the plug board properly, and then secure everything with epoxy or casting glue:

The internal circuit board looks like this. It's a 616-T12 control board. This type of board is simple, but it works really well:




Once everything is ready, you can proceed with installation and testing. This setup is super convenient — no need to solder wires or connect two batteries in series anymore. Plus, the battery can also be used to power a car washer.
