If you are interested in DIY power banks, you might want to take a look at this article.
If you are currently struggling with having too many batteries at home and feel it is a pity to throw them away, at this moment you may come up with a creative idea. You can use these unused batteries to make a power bank. If you happen to have a dental floss box, you can use this box as the casing of the power bank.

If your batteries happen to be 18650 cells, originally rated at 3300mAh, but due to long-term idle storage, their capacity has degraded to about 2900mAh. This dental floss box can roughly hold 3 batteries. You can directly spot-weld them.

If you happen to have a suitable circuit board, you can directly place it into this box.

You can use a utility knife to cut the necessary openings.
Since there are no fixed positions inside the box, you can use some auxiliary materials. At the bottom, you can use double-sided tape to fix a stick-like support to hold the board in place. In the middle, you can adjust the battery wiring position.

In order to prevent internal shaking, you can stick EVA foam wherever possible.
When finished, the process is still quite simple. The final product is shown in the image below.
