Samsung Launches AI Across All Business Units

According to a recent statement from Samsung Electronics, the Samsung Group has officially launched a company-wide artificial intelligence (AI) transformation strategy aimed at reshaping its working practices, organizational culture, and business operations. The initiative will integrate AI technologies across all subsidiaries, embedding artificial intelligence into core decision-making processes and daily workflows from executive management to frontline employees.

As part of the transformation, Samsung plans to deploy external generative AI platforms, including Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Google Gemini, across all affiliated companies within this month. The rollout will be supported by dedicated security systems designed to ensure safe and responsible AI adoption. Through large-scale implementation of AI technologies, Samsung aims to improve operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and unlock new business growth opportunities across its diverse business portfolio.

To support the strategy, Samsung will establish dedicated AI departments within each subsidiary. These teams will be responsible for AI implementation, operational management, technology adoption, and workforce development. In addition, executives from Samsung's various business units are expected to present a shared AI vision through specialized training programs, outlining plans to optimize business processes and accelerate innovation through artificial intelligence.

Talent development is a key pillar of the initiative. Samsung has set a target of providing AI-related training to all entry-level employees by 2026. For senior leadership, the company will host a two-day AI training camp for chief executive officers and presidents in June. Other senior managers will participate in a large-scale three-day residential training program involving approximately 2,300 executives, followed by ongoing advanced learning programs to strengthen AI capabilities throughout the organization.

The announcement highlights Samsung's commitment to accelerating AI-driven transformation and positioning artificial intelligence as a central component of its future competitiveness, operational excellence, and long-term business strategy.
