DIY Reading Light for Kindle

If you are interested in making a DIY reading light, you might want to check out this article.

If you enjoy reading novels on your Kindle at night but find that the bedside lamp is not bright enough, and the main light requires you to get out of bed to turn it off, it can be quite inconvenient. At this point, you may come up with the idea of making a small reading light for your Kindle, which would make reading much easier and more comfortable.

If you have an old smartphone battery with around 1500mAh capacity, along with an integrated circuit board that supports charging, discharging, and voltage boosting, you can start this DIY project.

First, you can use a brass wire as the negative electrode, which allows you to adjust the angle more easily. The L-shaped aluminum alloy can serve both as a lampshade and a heat sink.

Then, you can use epoxy resin adhesive to fix it onto an acrylic plate that works as the base.

Next, you can move the switch wire to the positive electrode, and everything will work properly.

After that, you can make a simple cover and attach it to the back shell of your Kindle with Velcro.

Everything works perfectly, and the DIY Kindle reading light is complete.
