NVIDIA RTX Spark AI PCs Sell Out Ahead of Launch
According to NVIDIA, the RTX Spark series AI PCs, jointly developed with MediaTek, are expected to launch this autumn. Microsoft and multiple game developers have recently announced updates and support for the platform. ASUS and MSI, among the first manufacturers to introduce RTX Spark-powered PCs, have already sold out their initial inventory, highlighting strong market demand and prompting both companies to request additional supply from NVIDIA.
The PC market has been facing pressure from rising prices of key components, weakening overall consumer purchasing sentiment and leading to cautious expectations for second-half growth. However, the strong pre-order response for RTX Spark AI PCs has brought renewed momentum to an otherwise subdued PC market.
Positioned as one of the most powerful AI agent PCs, NVIDIA’s RTX Spark series features the RTX Spark super chip manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process technology. The chip integrates an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and connects with a high-performance 20-core Grace CPU, while adopting the Windows on Arm architecture.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said that RTX Spark combines NVIDIA’s CUDA, RTX, and AI computing platforms into a single super chip. The system is designed to support a wide range of workloads, including local AI agents, foundation models, creative workflows, and RTX gaming experiences. Huang described it as “a completely new type of PC — a personal AI computer.”
The RTX Spark processor lineup includes two models: the high-end N1x and the mainstream N1. The first batch of RTX Spark-powered laptops is expected to arrive this autumn. Although pricing for N1x-based PCs has not yet been officially announced, market estimates suggest that entry-level models could start above NT$110,000 (approximately RMB 25,000).
The first wave of RTX Spark partners includes ASUS, MSI, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft, while Acer and Gigabyte are also expected to join the ecosystem in the future.
Currently, ASUS and MSI have both sold out their initial RTX Spark PC inventory. ASUS Co-CEO Syu-Pin Hu stated that demand from channel partners significantly exceeded expectations, with the company’s planned first shipment fully reserved. ASUS is now actively negotiating with NVIDIA for additional supply and remains optimistic about sales growth next year.
MSI product executive Peng Ren-Fang previously revealed that strong demand from customers in mainland China, Taiwan, and the United States has pushed its first batch of laptops powered by the high-end N1x chip close to full allocation. MSI is also seeking additional RTX Spark chip supply from NVIDIA.
In addition to hardware demand, NVIDIA is also working to strengthen the Windows on Arm ecosystem, which previously faced criticism due to limited software availability and gaming compatibility. During Gamescom 2026 in Germany, NVIDIA announced that multiple game developers would bring popular titles to the RTX Spark ecosystem, further improving software support ahead of the platform’s official launch.
As AI computing continues to reshape the PC industry, the RTX Spark series represents NVIDIA’s push to bring high-performance AI capabilities from data centers to personal devices, potentially accelerating the adoption of next-generation AI PCs.
