If there In the previous DIY article DIY: Nanjiren NJR-228 Shaver Review & Performance, we disassembled the Nanjiren Razor NJR-228. In this article, we'll be upgrading the lithium battery in this razor. If you're interested, feel free to check out this guide.
You'll need to prepare a SANYO 2600mAh lithium battery with a light blue top. The actual capacity can be around 2590mAh.
You'll also need a 260 motor, and both the positive and negative wires should be red. It's better if there's color coding.
Start by comparing the parts, and then remove any excess plastic casing from the razor according to what's needed.
On this side, remove all plastic parts except for the screw posts.
On the other side, remove the light guide. If the screw position is blocking the battery, you may need to grind it down. Tools you can use include side cutters or a small electric grinder.
Attach the nickel strips to the battery terminals.
This should be good to go.
Once assembled, the seams are almost invisible.
After testing, charging is a bit slow, with a maximum rate of just over 400mA. It took about 6 to 7 hours to fully charge, but a single charge should last for about a year.
And that's it—finished!
