On track to finalize its largest-ever acquisition, Amphenol is reportedly close to a $10.5 billion agreement to purchase the broadband network solutions business of CommScope, according to sources familiar with the matter. The deal could be sealed as early as Monday.
Back in May, reports surfaced that CommScope was exploring the sale of its Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) division to reduce its debt load. Now, the potential acquisition signals a bold expansion for Amphenol, a company widely known for its innovations in fiber optic interconnects, antennas, and specialty cables—especially as demand soars for AI-related infrastructure.
If completed, this move will significantly enhance Amphenol's footprint in data center connectivity and networking hardware, complementing the company's existing product lines.
This would mark Amphenol's second major transaction involving CommScope. In 2023, it acquired CommScope's mobile networks business for $2.1 billion in cash.
Additionally, Amphenol completed the acquisition of Narda-MITEQ in May 2025. Based in Hauppauge, New York, Narda brings in around $120 million in annual sales and specializes in active RF interconnect components—products that align well with Amphenol's defense-focused offerings. Narda's operations have been integrated into Amphenol's Harsh Environment Solutions division.
