On March 11, NVIDIA announced a strategic partnership with the Netherlands-based AI infrastructure provider Nebius Group NV, accompanied by a $2 billion investment. The collaboration aims to jointly develop and deploy next-generation, large-scale AI cloud platforms targeting AI-native developers and enterprise users.
To address the rapidly growing global demand for high-performance computing, the partnership strengthens Nebius and NVIDIA's cooperation across the entire AI technology stack—from AI factory architectures to production-ready software—enabling Nebius to accelerate the rollout of its full-stack AI cloud platform.
Building on Nebius' ongoing deployment of NVIDIA-powered infrastructure worldwide, including multiple gigawatt-scale AI factories in the U.S., NVIDIA will support early adoption of its latest accelerated computing platforms, helping Nebius scale to over 5 GW of capacity by the end of 2030.
Under the partnership, the companies will collaborate in several key areas:
l AI Factory Design and Support: Access to design resources, review processes, early sample testing, system software assistance, startup support, and regular technical and business reviews.
l AI Inference: Leveraging NVIDIA's latest software technologies, optimized models, and libraries to deliver advanced inference and intelligent AI stacks for developers and enterprises.
l AI Infrastructure Deployment: Early adoption of NVIDIA computing architectures—including the NVIDIA Rubin platform, NVIDIA Vera CPU, and NVIDIA BlueField® storage systems—across multiple generations of Nebius infrastructure.
l Fleet Management: Optimizing the health and efficiency of large server clusters with NVIDIA GPU monitoring and software recommendations.
"AI is at another inflection point—emergent agent-based AI is driving unprecedented computational demands and accelerating infrastructure growth," said NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang. "Nebius is building an AI cloud designed for the agent era, fully integrated from chips to software and powered by NVIDIA's next-generation accelerated computing technologies. Together, we will scale cloud resources to meet the world's growing intelligence needs."
Nebius CEO Arkady Volozh added, "From the start, Nebius was built for AI—it wasn't adapted from a general-purpose cloud platform. With NVIDIA, we are extending that vision across the entire technology stack—from gigawatt-scale AI factories to inference and software—creating one of the largest AI clouds available to developers worldwide."
This investment complements NVIDIA's earlier $30 billion stake in OpenAI and $2 billion investment in the cloud provider CoreWeave.
Headquartered in the Netherlands and spun off from Yandex's international division, Nebius is actively transforming from serving primarily small AI startups to securing large-scale contracts. The company recently signed a $17.4 billion, five-year capacity supply agreement with Microsoft and a $3 billion deal with Meta. Nebius' latest financial report projects connected power of 800 MW to 1 GW by the end of 2026, with an annual recurring revenue (ARR) target of $7–9 billion.
